We can pretty much get any plant you want but what we like to do is surprise our customers with newly found or imported plants.
Our specialism is exotic and rare plants – some of which we grow and sell ourselves – and the special conditions which many of them need to thrive. So, if it’s a 4 meter tall banana or a flowering ginger we can supply and plant in tailored composts and install irrigation and drainage if needed.
If you want to plant-up or build a conservatory we can specify planting beds and large containers that are suitable for growing exotics under glass. We also have experience in looking after conservatory plant collections – using biological control rather than pesticides for instance to keep the bugs down.
We also plant big trees – our biggest to date being a Californian Redwood which was about 20 meters tall on planting. We’ve also planted a mature date palm – the weight being more of a bigger factor there than size: 2.5 tonnes. All these trees and larger shrubs are planted in specially designed planting pits with tailored composts and secret ingredients to ensure establishment. But be prepared to wait for some specimens – imported ones need to be acclimatized to UK weather and we ensure they are held in cool-houses for some weeks or months before dispatch.
